I met Uncle Leo many years ago when he came to Poland visiting their loved ones and friend. He made a great impression on me. I thought: "What a worldly man a very amiable, cheerful, well-spoken gentleman. Wow...
Althought he was with us all even briefly we loved the aunty and uncle from Australia at once.
I must admit that I will never forget Uncle Leo's unique handwriting. His letters were read repeatedly looking at subtly written letters.
The saddest part is that my mother Danuta will have no one to talk to on the phone. Their average of twice a week phonecalls suit the rhythm of the day.
There was always a piece of interesting information about the members of so called Australian family, Uncle loved very much and was proud of.
There are no words that could comfort at a moment like this. Therefore, with great sorrow on behalf of Polish families (from Pila, Czarnkow and Niepolomice) please accept the expression of deep sympathy. It is difficult to accept that he is not among us anymore. The phone will remain silent from now on.
