Ruth Nally

1933 - 2017

RUTH NALLY Ruth Nally went home to be with her Lord and Savior April 15, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 16,1933 in Bozeman, MT. She moved with her parents Arthur and Goldie Boyts, brother Tommy, and sister Carol to Scotts Mills, OR in 1946 when she was in the 8th grade. She met her first husband Earl Nally during her high school years and they were married in 1950. They moved to Rio Dell, CA and started their family in 1951. Together they raised four children. After 48 years of marriage Earl passed away in 1998. She married Danny Thomas in 2008. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was involved in her church, teaching Sunday School, ladies meetings and witnessing to her family and many friends. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman. She assisted Earl in building a successful family business, Nally Enterprises, for many years. She was a loving mother, involved in the PTA, School board member, den mother and room mother, a volunteer for the cancer society, St. Bernard High School, and many community activities. She enjoyed gardening and spending special time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Each of them was very special to her. Ruth leaves behind a host of memories along with her much loved family. She is survived by her sister Carol Depucci of Redding, CA; her husband Danny Thomas of Canton, GA; daughter Debbie (Jon) Adams of Yucaipa, CA; son Wesley (Nancy) Nally of Rio Dell, CA; son Wade Nally of Redding, CA; daughter Susan (Mike) Strahan of Rio Dell, CA. Her grandchildren Sherry (Adam) Saler, Trevor (Emily) Creel, Jevon Nally, Staci (Dan) Leeper, Austin Creel, Carissa Creel, Faith (Evan) Hansen, Justin (Holly) Nally, Stephen (Julie) Nally, April (Brian) Hubner, Tori Nally. Great grandchildren RJ, Owen, Eve, Glynn, Iris, Ruthie, Sidney, Milo, Lucian, Michael, Noa Grace, Zander, Braylon, Syler, Kaleb, Grayson, and one bun in the oven. She was loved by her family and friends. She touched many lives and will be sorely missed by many. Thank you to Hospice of Humboldt and her many special friends who loved and supported her with prayer and kindnesses. Family and friends are invited to a viewing and visitation at Goble's Fortuna Mortuary on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, April 21st at ll:00am at the Fortuna Church of the Nazarene in Fortuna, CA. All are welcome to attend. Donations may be made to the American Lung Association, Fortuna Church of the Nazarene, or your favorite charity. Arrangements are under the care of Goble's Fortuna Mortuary.
