Reginald Clark Obituary

Reginald "Reggie" Alan Clark, 53, of Eureka, formerly of Illinois, passed into the next life Friday, October 7, 2011. He was one of thirteen children. He called Katherine and Jonathan his children and Kaden his grandchild of Eureka, CA. He loved them as if they were his own blood relatives. Reggie loved being with his family, having fun with friends and listening to Earth, Wind, and Fire and Chaka Khan. His parents and one brother preceded him in death. Reggie touched the lives of countless people with his smile and kindness, and retained his trademark sense of humor to the end. A celebration of Reggie's life memorial service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011 in Illinois with family and friends. The family would like to thank all the citizens of Eureka, CA, and Humboldt County especially, the Eureka Police Department, Humboldt County Coroner, Ayers Family Cremation, and the Office of the District Attorney, Victim Witness Assistance for their kindness. Family requests that instead of flowers please send condolence and cards to the Clark Family, P.O. Box 9573, Columbia, SC 29290-0573. O my God! O Thou forgiver of sins, bestower of gifts, dispeller of afflictions!

Verily, I beseech thee to forgive the sins of such as have abandoned the physical garment and have ascended to the spiritual world.

O my Lord! Purify them from trespasses, dispel their sorrows, and change their darkness into light. Cause them to enter the garden of happiness, cleanse them with the most pure water, and grant them to behold Thy splendors on the loftiest mount.

~ Reggie lived down the street from me for a while. He would often stop & visit for a bit if I was out gardening when he rode by on his bicycle. I gave him some advice, and even looked up a couple things on the web for him, to try and help with a landlord-maintenance problem. Mostly he wouldn't do anything because he didn't want to cause problems for anyone.
I hadn't seen him for a few months, figured he found another place, as he had been looking. ~ I was in the store earlier that same evening, getting munchies for a trip to visit my family. Because I don't really follow the paper, I did not know about Reggie until a couple weeks ago when my neighbor told me.
