Wilma F. Vance, 85, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Miami Valley Hospital.
She was born June 14, 1929, in Winchester, the daughter of the late Grover and Faye (Ayres) Pence.
She was a member of the Auburn United Methodist Church, and had retired as a bus driver for the Hillsboro City Schools in 2004 after 32 years of service.
She is survived by five children, Ginger (Steve) Cox, Julie Toler, Faye (Mike) Fawley, Clay C. Vance and Scot G. Vance, all of Hillsboro; 14 grandchildren, Chris (Mandy) Cox, Emily (Stephen) Daggett, Rebecca Griffin, Philip Cox, Adam (Tiffiney) Michael, Sarah (Chris) Riley, Clinton Fawley, Sabrina Fawley, Andy (Miranda) Vance, Coby (Jennifer) Vance, Dustin (Tabitha) Vance, Raejean Vance, Sadie Vance and Jireh Vance; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Reeves of Beavercreek; a brother, Allen Pence of Winchester; a sister-in-law, Ruth Fields of Orient; a brother-in-law, Joe Vance of Mount Sterling; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coburn "Coby" Vance, in 1985; a great-grandson, Tyler Michael; and two sisters, Alice Craig and Jean Thompson.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.

Wilma was my bus driver and I remember how hard she was on us, but she had to be! We were kids! She was a nice lady and I'm sad to hear she has left us. May God be with her family during this time. God has another great bus driver upstairs along with my mother, Arlene McClure!
