Catherine E. Rath

Catherine E. "Kitty" Rath, age 94 of Norristown, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in Einstein Montgomery Medical Center of East Norriton. Born in Norristown, PA on September 9, 1918, daughter of the late Elizabeth (Burke) and Joseph Rath. Catherine has lived in Norristown most of her life. She was a member of St. Patrick's RC Church of Norristown. She worked with Snyder Jewelers on Main Street in Norristown the Owned Wallace Jewelers in Conshohocken which she operated for over 25 years before she retired in the early 1980's. She was a member of Business & Professional Women Association of Conshohocken. She enjoyed Gardening & Reading as well as horseback riding in her younger years. She is survived by her nieces, Catherine Adamson of Eagleville, Judity (Richard) Zutell of Kinzers, PA and Catherine Torok of East Norriton. Also survived by 6 Great Nieces & Nephews, 7 Great Great Nieces & Nephews , & 4 Great Great Great Nieces & Nephews . Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister,m Gertrude M. Crocker ; nephew, Robert Torok, and a great nephew, Robert Torok, Jr. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday February 26st at 10:00 AM from the St. Patrick's RC Church 714 DeKalb Street, Norristown, Pa 19401.
