John Breha Obituary

John (Waz) Breha, of Swoyersville, passed away Friday, July 24, 2009, at his home.
Born on September 1, 1950, he was a son of Anna Linko Breha and the late Steve Breha.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Swoyersville and was employed at Intermetro in Plains. John started the Sons of the Legionnaires in 1997 and was the SAL Commander. He was also a member of the PAV, the Slovak Club and the Henry Club. He was an active donor to St. Joe’s Center in Swoyersville. He also loved drag racing, rock-and-roll music and making beer can chicken.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Breha.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Anna, are his brothers, Martin, of Swoyersville; Andrew and his wife, Anne of Kingston; sons, John S. and his fiancée, Alicia, of Larksville; and William J., at home; a grandson, Gavin Breha; sister-in-law Fran Breha, of Swoyersville; as well as nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
The funeral for John will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, Hughes Street, Swoyersville. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Swoyersville. Family and friends may call Tuesday morning, from 9 a.m. until time of service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Lehman-Gregory Funeral Home Inc.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Josephs Center, Swoyersville.
