Vivian Eichel Obituary

Vivian L. Eichel
69, of Dennison, passed away on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at Community Hospice House
in New Philadelphia after a brief illness. Born July 10, 1945, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Betty Irene (Van Alstyne) Heintz. A 1963 graduate of Dover High School, Vivian was a lifelong resident of the area, who retired from the Timken Co. after 35 years of employment. In her younger years, she worked at the Eiler Record Shop for five years and spent five summers working at the A & W Rootbeer Stand, as well. She attended St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover. Vivian was a genealogy buff who loved researching family histories. She was a longtime member of the Tuscarawas Co. Genealogical Society and had served as their treasurer from 1997 to 2006. She was also a former member of the Toastmasters.
Vivian is survived by her children: Darren (Mandy) Prosser of Dover, Warren (Sarah) Prosser of Canton, Tammy Eichel of South Dakota, and Jimmy Eichel and Vicky Eichel of Montana; grandchildren: Damien and Owen Prosser, and Cody, Andrew, Brannen, Noah, Mindy, and Lynnai Eichel; brother, Doug (Faye) Heintz; sister, Biva (George) Polen; a number of nieces and nephews; her dear friends who looked after her for many years: Eleanor Malterer, Barbara Garner, Teresa, Steve, Tucker, Dakota, Chaska, and Nakaza West, and William Sutton; and her beloved pets, Ala and Cameera.
In keeping with her wishes, Vivian has been cremated without a public visitation. A celebration of her life is planned for a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.

I am in shock about Vivian's passing. I knew her for a very long time.. We had so many good times together, camping, genealogy and just plain fun times. She was a strong and loving woman and wasn't afraid to share that with her friends as well as family. God has a new angel one who won't take "no" for an answer. Will miss her laugh and smile the most...Love Peggy

Vivian was always a very kind and caring person. We both worked at A & W back in our younger years. I felt very blessed recently when she found some long lost cousins. RIP Dear Friend.
