Peter Davies

DAVIES Peter Peter Davies, 53, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at his home on Van Schoick Ave, Albany after a long illness. He was born on April 19, 1956 in Liverpool, England. Before moving to Albany, Peter lived in Los Angeles, were he worked as a builder on the sets of Terminator 1 and 2. Peter was owner of Davies Designs & Construction, doing many construction projects for people in the Capital Region. He was known as "Van Schoick's personal contractor," taking great pride in remodeling depression-era homes. He was very fond of his neighbors as well as their pets. Although he was born in England, he spoke like an Australian, often referring to his friends as "mate." Peter was an avid watcher of the Sunday morning political talk shows and enjoyed quality cinema. He loved political discussions with his friends, especially if they had differing views. He also enjoyed retreats with his friend, William Dean to Little Falls, N.Y. Peter is survived by his friend, William Dean, co-owner of Mahar's Public Bar on Madison Ave. in Albany and his trusted dog, Zoe. He will be fondly remembered by his many friends and neighbors, especially at Mahar's. Inurnment will be private and held in Little Falls, N.Y.
