I was shocked to hear of Tom's passing. I worked with him at Lakeside Junior and almost opened Fleming Elementary School with him. He was always a good person to talk to and the children loved him. I am so sorry for the family's loss.

I am sorry for the loss of this man. I have a lot of wonderful memories of Mr. Ramsay as I was one of his students at Lakeside Jr. High. He was a great teacher and mentor. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time

So sorry to hear about Mr. Ramsay. He was truly a great man. He always had a smile and kind words for his kids at Lakeside Jr. High. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

I have such a heavy, but a rejoicing, heart! Tom was so gifted! He was a gifted husband. He was a gifted dad. He was, as I knew him, a gifted administrator. From his hearty "HI GANG" when he entered a room...which resounded in a small portable classroom as well as a huge cafeteria (yes, he wore an apron!!)...everyone turned to see his smiling face....noting that he obviously loving his work. Tom was special to me. He would often come to my classroom and talk with the kids because "First graders have the best perspective on what's going on in the school." He was very positive. About everything in life. I adopted his mantra of "Catch them being good", because, no matter if you were dealing with kids or adults, catching them during a positive moment could change any situation. When I went to his 50th anniversary party, he was holding hands with Diane and he was talking about being a young military officer and living in Camp Blanding housing and he had decided to break a wall down to the next unit to accommodate his kids. And they let him do it! He was always doing things to accommodate his kids and his students. Great husband. Great dad. Great principal. Great guy. He left a huge imprint on his gang. And on me. XOXO

No act of friendship toward Tom was ever forgotten; rather, it was repaid with interest. What a guy!

I worked with Mr. Ramsay when he was the principal at Lakeside Junior High School. He was an inspiration and leader to the students, teachers, and staff.
I am so sorry for your loss, may God be with you.
