James McFarlane Obituary

McFARLANE James K. McFarlane, 72, passed away Monday, September 2, 2002. He had served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict and had retired from The Haskell Company after over 26 years of service. Mr. McFarlane was a member of Baymeadows Country Club and was an avid golfer. He also loved playing handball with his friends at the Riverside YMCA. Mr. McFarlane is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carole M. McFarlane; son, Greg McFarlane and his wife, Sandy of Littleton, CO; daughter, Dionne McFarlane Price of Jacksonville; “ adopted” son, Nathan Sarvis of Jacksonville; brothers, Joseph McFarlane, Mike (Sheila) McFarlane, Arthur (Mary) McFarlane and John McFarlane; sisters, Patsy (Warren) Harris, Caye (R.D.) Campbell, Margaret McFarlane and Elaine “ Spanky” McFarlane and his beloved granddaughter, Jessica Rose Perry. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2002 in the Mandarin chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Bratton officiating. Tributes may be posted to Mr. McFarlanes guestbook at www.hardage-giddens.com .
