Margaret Paxton Obituary

Paxton
Margaret Ann Paxton (Maggie), our beloved Daughter, Sister, and Friend, went to be with the Lord on December 9, 2020. Maggie was born in Jacksonville Beach, Florida on August 25, 2002. She was 18 years old.
Throughout her life, Maggie excelled in academics, athletics, friendship and giving back. People of all ages, and from every facet of Maggie's life, have been sharing the stories of sunshine and joy that Maggie brought to their days. While at Fletcher Maggie was a member of many clubs, volunteer organizations and sports. Maggie and her lacrosse teammates, who affectionately nicknamed her "Pitbull Paxton," won their District Championships 2017-2019. She earned her AICE diploma and graduated with Honors from Duncan U. Fletchers High School, and was attending the University of Florida.
Maggie put her faith in Jesus, and His powerful love and Spirit within her spilled out onto everyone she met. She was a member of Beach Students at Beach Church in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She also spent many summers at Camp Chattooga, YMCA camp in Tallulah Falls, GA as camper, then counselor. Her family extends their heartfelt thanks to those leaders who fostered her faith and nourished her heart.
At the University of Florida, she was a cherished member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and was already making her mark to have an excellent collegiate career. Her love for her many Gator friends and Kappa sisters will never be forgotten.
Maggie grew up in a magical neighborhood where she was beloved; where parents and children support and love each other as their own. Her passing has left an ache in each of them as if they had lost a daughter and sister.
The darling girl is survived by her parents, Jim E. Paxton and Lisa Painter Paxton, and younger sister, Holly Carla Paxton. She is survived by loving grandparents, Ron and Carla Paxton, of Atlantic Beach, FL, and Frank and Wanda Painter of Jacksonville, FL (Greenville, S.C). She also leaves behind aunts, uncles, and cousins: Ann and John vonThron (Jimmy, Joseph, Mary Grace) of Neptune Beach, FL, and Holly and Don Mabry (Charlotte, Jennings) from Atlanta, GA.

Generous memorial donations that were given to her Lacrosse go-fund-me, will provide a permanent fixture (wall ball) for athletes at Fletcher, or any kid wanting to practice, for years to come in her honor.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Beach Church in Jacksonville Beach, FL on Friday, December 18 at 11:00 a.m. Masks will be required during the service, and there will be limited seating. The celebration will be live-streamed as well: https://www.beachchurchjax.com/memorial-service. Arrangements by Integrity Funeral Home and Cremations.
