Dear Henny, George, & Lauren, my thoughts are with you. I realize today is a difficult, ,and emotional time, as are most when when your thoughts of Andy´s passing are remembered. Henny, It has been awhile since I have seen you since I have not been attending church. But you and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers. Although I did not know Andy after reading his biography, it is so clear what a caring wonderful man he was. In some ways he reminds me of my oldest son Jeff, also a free spirit. May God give you peace.

When I learned about Andy it took my breath away. I was filled with a deep sadness. He was unique, with a wistful sweetness and an immense creative talent. To George and Henny and Andy's sister please accept my sincere condolences. I am so sorry.

I knew you wouldn't ignore my text messages. And so I thought something was weird… I thought maybe you went on vacation, or lost your phone or even moved back home.
But I could never imagine that something like that could have happened…
My heart is very very sad, but I know that wherever you are it has to be a good place because you were such a good and sweet boy!
My thoughts and prayers go out to your mom, dad, sister and to all your family and friends who, I'm sure, love you so much.

I attended Stanton with Andy. I had a few classes with him. I didn't know him well, but I remembered his smile and well, you don't forget a name like Schoonover!:). I don't think we have lost many in our class, and this really got to me. I think of Stanton Grads as unique and special. So much talent and intelligence was nurtured at that school. I am saddened to hear that we lost one of our brightest so soon. Yet, I am in awe of his short but impressive life, one that seemed to be well-lived. My condolences to the family. No memory of Andy is complete without the words spontaneous, fun, and adventurous. I consider myself very lucky to have gotten to know such a unique person so well. No words can describe the emptiness that comes with knowing he was taken from this world too soon.

I went to High school with Andy and we were into a lot of the same things. About a year or so ago I saw him surfing out at the Poles and we spent a while catching up. He was a special person, great artist, and very funny and outgoing and will be missed.

Andy was an amazing guy. My friend Zach and I would cheer him on every time he entered class at Flagler College (we all took the Graphic Design courses together). He was amazing. His work stood out from everyone else's, his PERSONALLITY stood out from everyone else's. He was definitely one of the nicest, funny guys I've ever met in my life. And this news is horrible.
