To the family of Chris (Foxy Brown); It is still hard to grasp that Chris is no longer here. As I recently relayed to a friend had I known that Atlanta would be the last place that we were together, I would have hugged her a little longer and told her that I loved and cherished her a bit more. The one thing that she did know is that both our faces always lit up when we saw each other and her greeting was always, Hello, Foxy Brown. Chris I will miss you but I thank God for the friendship we shared over the years. Your friend and sister in Christ!

Chris and I worked together for a number of years at Wells Fargo. It was a pleasure to know her and I will miss the wonderful conversations we had about God and Kingdom work. May the peace of God which surpasses all understanding be with Chris' family and friends during this time. Memories are precious and will bring smiles to our faces as we reflect on the joy and laughter we shared with Chris.

Sistah, as I sit here reflecting on our friendship, it is still so hard to believe you're gone from this place. I can't talk to you and share a funny story, or hear you laugh about something that happened to you. To the Family: Chris was a jewel to all of us. In June she was in Jacksonville making sure that the youth she brought to the Episcopal Lay convention made it to the First Timers' class. In July we were in Atlanta at the Lay Biennial. Chris and I spoke and hugged in the lobby. The smile that was her trademark was as radiant as ever. Little did I know that it would be our last meeting on this side of Glory. I praise God that our two lives crossed and for the encouraging presence she was to me and so many others. She was an advocate in so many ways. Family my prayer to you is to stay strong in the memories and love that remain from the strong legacy she has left for us all.

I am still in shock over the sudden transition of Christine. I don't recall ever seeing her without a smile when I was visiting my home church. A true fashionesta both spiritually and in attire.
