Dear Robert & family,

We are so sorry for your loss I know Jesus will carry you through this difficult time. We've found comfort in the words our pastor once said "Our love will not let a person die for us. They are more present to us in death than in life. We communicate with them more freely & more deeply now. We feel their sacred presence all around us. Because of our love for the one who left us, we are taken to an extent with them into the life of the world to come. Its peace loosens the tightness of our hearts and softens the harshness of our tears."

A few weeks ago you and Rose were offering comfort to our family at our son Cory's funeral. Rose was very dear to our family and I am sure she was welcomed by Cory as she walked through heaven's gate.

We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

I was very sorry to hear of Rosa's passing. I pray that the Lord will give you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

April 26, 2005

My heart was saddened to hear of Rose's early passing. She was such a wonderful person, always thoughtful in working with others and making them feel important.

Since I was a little girl, my Dad would take me to Main Street to look at jewelry. On each occassion, Rose would talk him into me getting something (thank you!) I will always remember her beautiful smile and forever youthful looks and actions. She loved her family very much and always spoke of her children and grandchildren. She loved her babies, and loved to show pictures!

Rose, we will miss you. Please don't buy all the jewelry in heaven, leave a few pieces for us. To her family, may God bless you and cherish the time you had with Rose. My prayers are with you all.

When my husband told me that Rose had passed away, I was shocked and saddened. I first met Rose many years ago when I went up to her and told her I admired her haircut. She told me that she cut her own hair. I carried on so that she offered to start cutting mine and so we would meet at the store, sit in the back and I would come away with a wonderful haircut. I will truly miss her but I know she is in a better place. May perpetual light shine upon her. Love, Mel

Rose,

I first met you several years ago when I was shopping for diamond earrings. Little did we both know that I would be one of your nurses at the end. Of all the sparkling gemstones that were displayed in your store, the brightest one was you! I wish the nurses and doctors could have done more, but we couldn't. God has taken you home to walk His streets of gold. All of Jacksonville will miss you! Peaceful rest, Rose. We'll meet again one day.

Dear Rose:

I will miss you so much. I became a customer of yours last year after being introduced by Miss Billie. I so liked your company, that I brought my friends. Every time that I came in to your store, you greeted me with friendship and @ one point welcomed into the back of your store to browse through a box of shoes. Your work ethic, your compassion, your attention to detail, and above all else, the fact that here was a woman who had persevered & prospered despite obstacles thrown in your way. My bi-weekly trips to your store became my bling therapy :-)and becoming acquainted with all of your employees. I will miss you tremendously and my heart aches that you are gone. I am having trouble believing it Rose and my first thought was that this was a bad dream.

I hope that your extended family finds solace in the fact that you touched many lives and were loved by so many more. I hope that your immediate family finds comfort in the love that walked through "Rosa's" door daily.

I hope that your garden in heaven is filled with Rubies, Diamonds, and Emeralds. I have peach Roses on my kitchen window sill. Tonight, I am going to make a special Rose garden in memory of the very special way you touched my life.

I love you,

Linda

I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I was to hear of Rose's passing. I met Rose a few years ago when I came into the store, and she was always such a wonderful person. Robert and Rose's family: There are not sufficient words in the English vocabulary to express, in writing, the love I have for my precious Rose. She was a true sister to me and my heart has a huge hole that cannot be filled. I know Rose is decorating and 'fixing' heaven. She was happiest when she was helping others and making someone happy. My love for Rose will never diminish and I feel her touch when I am totally lost and trying to accept she is no longer with us. I know the Lord gained a great angel when Rose entered into his open arms. I love each of you. Always, Paulene

Glenda (Lipsey) Kirkland

April 21, 2005

I have been blessed by the friendship that Rose and I had for over 20 years. Over these years I grew to love, respect and admire her more than words can express. I am in such disbelief that a women with such a loving, generous heart has been taken so soon from so many people that love and respect her. I have watched over the years how she brought such happiness in to the lives of so many people, including mine. I will always remember the many hours spent talking to her about life and everything that it holds. Her generosity and the help she aided me with throughout the years will never be forgotten. I pray the family takes comfort in knowing the outpouring of love that Rose shed on all that came before her. Without a single thought, without discrimination, and without hesitation she poured out love in her helping ways to anyone that needed her. Like no other, Rose was the most giving person that I have ever known. Her name, Rose, fits her in every aspect of the word. She will always be a beautiful Rose to me. With much love and prayers to her family and friends.
