WILLIAM BEAUTER Obituary
He was the husband of Margaret A. Root Beauter whom he married May 20, 1940. Bill was born Jan. 14, 1918, in Wellsboro, the son of the late William E. and Nora Dartt Beauter.
He had been a 50-year employee of Corning Glass Works, was a member of the Middle Ridge Methodist Church, the Ossea Lodge #317 F. & A.M. and Coudersport Consistory. Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife Margaret; sons, William W. Beauter (wife Kathy) of Cedar Edge, Colo., James Beauter (partner Anthony Kulp) of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; daughters, Linda Alexander (husband James) of Wellsboro, Judith McDaniel (husband James) of York, Cindy McMaster (husband John) of West Newton; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Adelbert and Thurman Gross, and two sisters, Julia Gross and Marian Gross.
Funeral services were private with Rev. Eugene Charsky officiating. Burial was in Tioga County Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorials may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 57 North Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, Pa. 18701. Arrangements by Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a ""Life Celebration Home,"" 139 Main St., Wellsboro. www.lifecelebration.com.
