Carolyn Butz Obituary
Mrs. Carolyn E. (Szakacs) Butz, 80, of Lincoln Avenue, Walnutport, died on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. She was the widow of Lester A. Butz, who passed away in 2008.
She was em-ployed as a machine operator by the former Cross Country Clothes, Botany 500 Group, Northampton, for 34 years.
Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Helen (Taskovics) Szakacs.
She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U., Christ United Church of Christ, Walnutport, and the Palmerton Red Hat Society.
An avid card player, she enjoyed pinochle and Texas Hold'em Poker.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah G., and a son, Dale A., both of Walnutport; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister Nancy, wife of Joseph Herzog of Forest Inn; a brother Alex, and his wife, Louise, of Bethlehem; and nieces and nephews.
Service: Funeral service at convenience of family. Arrangements by Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton. Contributions in her name may be made to the memorial fund of Christ United Church of Christ, Walnutport. Online condolences can be offered at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com.
