Forest H.
Forest H. Fannin, age 85, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016. He was born on June 18, 1930 to Epp and Hazel (Reed) Fannin in Salyersville, Kentucky. Forest retired from Haughton Elevator after 37 years of service.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tim Fannin, Debbie (Paul) Jacoby and Bart (Nikki) Fannin; grandchildren, Jackie, Ben, Paul, Jordan, Niko, Cindy, Shiela, Dawn and Tracy; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Sue Irving, Dr. Kerby Fannin and Judy Harris; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Forest was preceded in death by his loving wife of 33 years, Mary (Garber) Fannin; children, Vickie Dombkowski and Keith Fannin; siblings, Betty Lou Fannin, Billy Fannin, Nancy Polcwiartek and Rev. David Fannin.
The family will receive guests on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - Noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300), with services starting at Noon with Dr. Kerby Fannin officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.

Bart and family, So sorry to hear of the passing of your father. We are very disappointed that we will be unable to make it to the funeral home tomorrow for the viewing. Be rest assured that you and your family are in our prayers and in our thoughts during this time of loss and grief. Have pleasant thoughts and memories of your time together. After reading some of the messages left he was a special person that was caring and giving, you have been blessed to have him as your Dad.

Grandpa words cannot convey how much i love you.You were like a father and grandfather. Your heart was the purest heart i have ever known. You helped me so many times i dont know how i would have made it without your support, love, and care. I am so grateful for all you have instilled in me all you have efer done for me.. I will miss you so much and you deserved so much of everything good in this life. I wish i could have been there more.I think about you every day. Thank you for all that you were. Thank you for loving me when i felt unlovable.Thank you for your kindness, your strength, your heart, your love.Your humor your songs. And i will forever love the memories of you saying 'good grief'. There is none like you in this world.

Grandpa, i will miss you so much.I am very appreciative and grateful for all the help you gave me in the past, you were like a father not just a grandfather. You had the kindest heart ive known in my entire life. I love you so much , i cant even describe how much i will miss you. I wish i could have been there for you more. I will always remember you asking me "whats the good word?!" i would say " nothing" and you would start whistling. My favorite expression of yours will always be " well good grief" every little moment was so special to me because you genuinely cared.I will always think about you and i am so glad god made you my grandpa. I will miss you more than words could ever convey.
