Michael J. SCHNEIDER

SCHNEIDER Michael J. Michael J. Schneider, age 46, of Neapolis, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, August 21, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born on June 14, 1964 to Michael J. Schneider and Carol Stahl, in Paris, France. Michael served in the US Army honorably for 21 years as a sergeant, retiring from the 612th Battalion, as a mechanic in May 2006. During his time in the service he served 6 months in Somalia and 14 months in Iraq. Michael married Jennifer Buckenmeyer at the Neapolis Church of Christ on June 26, 1999. He worked for Sauder Woodworking Company for 16 years. Michael was a member of the American Legion Post #384 in Whitehouse. He loved being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and most of all spending time with his friends and family. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Jennifer; children, Dana and Alexander Schneider; parents, Michael (Peggy) Schneider, Carol (Don) Swiatkowski; brothers, David (Shelly) Schneider, Andrew Schneider; sister, Tina Schneider; grandmother, Virginia Humpert, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and step siblings. Michael is preceded in death by his twin brothers, Rick and Rob Swiatkowski; grandparents, Grace Westfall, Daniel Schneider, and Harlan Stahl. Friends and family may visit Tuesday, August 24th from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 25th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Mike George officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
