My thoughts and prayers go out to the Miller family. I remember Dick teaching me how to play catcher while he pitched for SFHS.

Lois, Kristin & Matt - I am so sorry about Richard's passing. I know he loved you guys so much! I always admired how he looked at you with such devotion Lois, you could just see the love in his eyes. He was always so calm during the chaos when all the kids would be over and he was very funny. And all of yall together was like watching a comedy troupe. If i could take away the pain I would, I hate that you have to walk down this road of grief. Just know that you have lots of people that love you and want the best for you. Sending oodles of hugs and love your way.

Richard was one of the hardest workers I ever met. I watched him these past 10 plus years plug away and always provide for his family "no" matter how tuff times got! He taught me that you didn't need a lot to give a lot as he had a BiG heart.
Him and Lois were one of my guardian angels at my worst year and I will never forget that, some long nights and lots of great memories we shared! I can't begin to tell you how deeply you will be missed!! Now it's my turn Richard to be your guardian Angel and take care of the woman I know you loved more than life, My LuLu!!
Rest in Peace my friend and till we meet again.... XoXo

I had the pleasure of playing HS ball with Dick and it was great to follow his career and his success. He was a lot of fun to be around both on and off the court. My sincere condolences to his entire family.

Dear Fran, Mary Pat & family,
On behalf of the St. Thomas More HS community I'd like to offer my condolences. I'm sorry I will not be able to attend the memorial Mass to express my sympathy in person since I am currently out of state. Rest assured, Dick & your entire family are in my prayers.
I have contacted the administration at school and asked that they include a notice of Dick's death in the alumni newsletter so friends and classmates will be aware of his passing. God bless.

Met Dick as a young sports writer covering UT basketball, a relationship that grew into a friendship. A true workman.
God Bless to family.

Dick Miller was one of my all-time favorite Rockets, In the eighth grade I listed him as my Idol in one of my English Papers. I remember him coming into Toledo starting as a freshmen and leading the Rockets to a victory in the first game ever played in the brand new Centennial Hall. He also was the first ever to slam dunk in a game at the new arena. Dec 1, 1976. I feel very bad for your loss. He provided may great memories to many Rocket faithful during an exciting time in Rocket basketball history. May God Bless Dick Miller and all of his family.
