Sarah Hammer Obituary
Sarah Elizabeth
Sarah E. Hammer, 45, died at Perrysburg Hospice with her family by her side. She had a fighting spirit. In spite of her health problems, she shined as a talented artist, graduating from Lourdes College with a bachelor's in Fine Art. Her kind heart, led her to teaching children and working toward a Master's degree in Special Education at the University of Toledo. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, being a leader for St. Paul's youth group and giving her time to the Obama Presidential campaign.
She is survived by her mother, Christine Hammer; sister, Joanna (Michael) Tampurages; Godson and nephew, Isaac Tampurages and many dear friends. Sarah was called "Sissy Sarah" by Joanna and "the gum lady" by her friend's children.
Donations in her memory may be given to St. Paul's youth group, Hospice of Northwest Ohio. A service will be held on Sunday, April 27, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal in Maumee.

Sarah will always be in my heart!! A true fighter, loving life & all of the people in it. I know that Sarah is in Heaven with my Dad, starting her new life as your forever guardian angel. They are reunited, free from pain & full of love for you, always. You are the sister & mother of the brightest star in the sky.? ? Love you both!!

Chris, I was so very sorry to hear about Sarah. But as I went to sleep last night, I could see her running, laughing and enjoying her wonderful new life in Heaven.
I know you will miss her, but you have lots of memories to warm your heart. She fought a hard battle, but she is in good hands now.
