Michael Stewart Obituary
Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Members of the Fraternal Order of Police will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Church, 1200 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Troopers Helping Troopers Foundation, 3625 Vartan Way, Harrisburg, PA 17110. To sign online guest book, send condolences, or to view detailed obituary information, please visit www.lopatich.com.

Dear Lynn and family,
I felt such grief when I heard about the accident involving a State Trooper. I watched the television coverage and wept. Today, my sister informed me it was your son. You were always such a kind friend. I can only imagine how wonderful your son was. As a Christian I struggle with this, but please know God must have needed him in heaven for a reason. My family is praying for you. We will be thinking of your family hoping God gives you strength through this difficult time.

To the family of Officer Stewart; although I did not know him or you personally. It is with deepest sympathy for the loss of this fine young man. Many of us could go a lifetime and not do or show what he has done in such a short span. You will get through this. Thanks to the Pa State Police for your sacrifice.
