Marion Siebert

1921 - 2018

Marion Paterson Siebert, 97, of Ligonier, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018. She was born Aug. 6, 1921, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late William Vincent Paterson Sr. and Marion McDonald Paterson. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and she loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's activities. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Dr. Frank Thomas Siebert; four brothers, William Vincent Paterson Jr., John Paterson, Frank Paterson and Richard Paterson; two aunts, Helen Ruetty and Mildred McDonald; a niece, Patricia Paterson; and a cousin, Patricia Rudolph. Marion was employed for more than 35 years as an administrative assistant to the director of pathology, Dr. Edwin Fisher, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. She was the beloved mother to her two daughters, Kathleen Siebert Davis and her husband Kenneth, of Pittsburgh, and Stephanie Siebert Finger and her husband Douglas E. Finger, of Ligonier; loving grandmother to five grandchildren, Karac Davis, Cheri (Anthony) Ionadi, and Daniel, Jonathan and Brittany Finger; a great-grandson, Leo Ionadi; a nephew, William Paterson; and cousins, Virginia Betz, Pamela Garbutt, Kelly Hansen Jr., Mary Hansen and Michael Hansen and their families.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at SNYDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 402 E. Church St., Ligonier. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Church, Ligonier, with the Rev. John Foriska as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
