Margaret Brewer

Margaret Brewer, 96, of Daisytown, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015. She was born Thursday, Aug. 7, 1919, in Smile, Pa., a daughter of the late Andrew and Susan Daniels. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Charleroi. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Brewer; son-in-law, Robert G. Zippay; dear friend, John Mohan; brother, Andrew Daniels; and three sisters, Margaret Daniels (in infancy), Susan Daniels Mucko and Amelia Daniels Spitak. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Shirley Zippay; grandchildren, Linda Miller and husband, Tim, Garry Zippay and wife, Ruth Ann, and Kathy Yohe and husband, Jay. Also surviving are grandchildren, Hannah, Isaac, Levi, Abigail, and Elias Miller, Breanne Zippay, Julianne Wickerham, and Joshua and Drew Yohe; great-grandchildren, Duncan and Bella Wickerham; nephew, Julius (Duke) Mucko and family; nieces, Connie Mucko Kwapien and family, and Nancy Spitak Yantek and family; lifelong and very special friends, Charlie and Lorain (Brewer) Losko, Julie (Slovak) Hartley; and her church family of St. John Lutheran Church.
Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME, INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, supervisor, 323 Fourth St., California, Pa., Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and until 10 a.m. on Wednesday when funeral services will be held in the funeral home with Pastor Frank Zeman officiating. Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery.
