Born Aug. 13, 1909, in Vandergrift, she lived in the Kiski Valley all her life. She attended the Spring Church Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Kiski Township. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading. Survivors include a son, James R. Smeltzer of Kiski Township; a daughter, Virginia Bryson of Chattanooga, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Maggie Wareham Cravener; four brothers, Ernest, Claude, Brice and John Cravener; and two sisters, Mabel Cravener and Hazel George. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in DUNMIRE-KERR FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Mark Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Church Cemetery, Kiski Township.
