John leaves many friends in his neighborhood, the North Slope Historic District, where he visited daily with folks as they walked by him working in his yard. John's love of animals, especially cats and dogs, and his enjoyment of growing things left all he met with a feeling that there is good in this world, and John shows how to nurture it. We miss him, but will not forget to care for living things, both plants and animals, in his memory. Thanks, John.

The world has lost a most remarkable man. Thank you, John Sandstrom, for hosting so many wonderful gatherings at Lake Sammamish, and for your long-term participation in and promotion of Swedish-Finn organizations/activities in the Pacific Northwest. God Bless You, John.
