Carol A. Brinson

LINTON — Carol A. Brinson, 57, of Linton, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at Terre Haute, Ind. She was born on Nov. 3, 1952, in Linton, Ind., to John (Jim) and Betty (May) West. She married Lonnie Brinson on Aug. 12, 1988.Carol was the Treasurer of Linton-Stockton School Corporation for 18 years. She enjoyed reading books and playing Texas Hold-'em.Survivors include her mother, Betty West of Linton; her husband, Lonnie Brinson; one daughter, Dr. Marci Gaither of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one brother, Terry (Kathie) West of Indianapolis and one sister, Sherri (Paul) DeJong of Hokes Bluff, Ala. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Jim West.The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Greene County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 19, 2010. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Brother Nick Moore officiating. The family is following Carol's wishes with cremation.
