KRESTAR – Kenneth E., 65, Ragers Hill Road, South Fork, died Dec. 29, 2008, at home. Born Jan. 22, 1943, in Sidman, son of Michael M. Sr. and Genevieve (Mangus) Krestar. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Robin; brother, Michael Jr.; and sisters, Dorothy Bauermeister and Irene Goller. Survived by wife of 34 years, Jeannie (Maslar) Krestar, South Fork, whom he married March 23, 1974; children, Richard, Sidman; Brenda, Pittsburgh; Cheryl, wife of James Handel III, South Fork; Bruce, married to Debbie, Altoona; Brian, Duncansville; and Kathy Myers, Altoona; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Leonard, married to Margie Woollaston, Sidman; and sisters, Ruth, widow of Carl Schellhammer, Johnstown; Betty Gabany, South Fork; and Mildred, widow of Budd Maurer, Westerville, Ohio. Ken was a self-employed truck driver. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed. Ken loved to hunt and fish. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where vigil for the deceased will be held Wednesday afternoon. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork, by Father Robert P. Reese. Committal, St. James Cemetery, South Fork.
