Violet Anna Yelanich

YELANICH – Violet Anna, 92, Westland, Mich., died Saturday, March 22, 2008. Violet was born Jan. 21, 1916, in South Fork to U. Edmund and Anna A. (Anderson) Swartzentruver. Preceded in death by husbands, Frank J. Marshall of Ehrenfeld, and Mark P. Yelanich of Fayette County. She is survived by loving sisters, Iona Penrod and Dorothy Wadsworth, both of Johnstown, and their families. Violet also is survived by her loving and devoted son, Russ Marshall of Detroit; beloved daughter, Joann Pelzman of Long Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Grieving also are loyal family friends, Dottie and Ray Prill of Texas, and Nancy Owen and Pat Rensberger, both of Livonia, Mich. Violet, a beautiful, gentle and compassionate woman, will be missed by all who knew and loved her and will be remembered for her honesty, dignity, friendliness and humor. A good friend to her friends and children. You will always be “The Best Mom.” So, dear Violet, rest now, finally, in peace with our love, and have a good, good night.
