I was very saddened to hear of Mrs Volz's passing. I did not know her that well, but my lasting impression will be that of a very gracious and vivacious, outgoing and friendly woman. My sincere sympathy to all the family.

Mrs. Volz was not just "Mom" to her 4 beautiful children but to all the kids in the neighborhood. We were always welcome in the Volz' home at 601 Ashurst. Mr. Volz would be working on a car in the driveway and Mrs. Volz was in the kitchen. Such a happy home; my second home. I would run away when punished. My parents knew exactly where I was but Mrs. Volz would call them as any great parent would.
Mrs. Volz was a soft spoken, caring and extrememly kind woman with a contagious laugh. I am a better person for having known her. I will miss her dearly as I know all the "kids" from the neighborhood will. My heart and prayers are with the family.
