IRON MOUNTAIN - Adeline "Bella" Tavonatti, 94, of Iron Mountain, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at Hyland Nursing Home in Iron Mountain. She was born on Dec. 20, 1913, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Domenico and Giovanna (Capasso) Dario.She was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain. Adeline married Henry Tavonatti at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain on Sept. 25, 1930, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1983.She retired after 26 years with Commercial National Bank in Iron Mountain. Adeline loved to cook Italian food.She also loved her flowers and gardening. She is survived by her daughters, Jeanette North of Livonia, Mich. and Patricia (Donald) Juhola of Iron Mountain; nine grandchildren, Christine (Bill) Jahns of Livonia, Jeff North of Livonia, Mike (Song) North of Alaska,Teresa (Dale) Knotts of South Carolina, Sue (Chuck) Valind of Birmingham, Ala., Nancy (Joe) Peacock of Menominee, Denise (Russ) Pericolosi of Iron Mountain, Lori (Jim) Runsat of Kingsford, and Sandy (Mike) Lusardi of Iron Mountain; many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Richard North; four brothers, Donald, David, John, and Americo Dario; and by three great-grandchildren, Marissa Stradner, Anthony North, and James Jahns. Private family services will be held at the Tondin-Ross & Freeman Funeral Home.Fr. Joseph Gouin will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park. Condolences to the family of Adeline "Bella" Tavonatti can be expressed online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com. The family has entrusted the Tondin-Ross & Freeman Funeral Home with arrangements.
