Anna Agnes (nee Vichic) Stesko, R.N., 88, of Clifton died on September 28, 2011. Born in Trenton, NJ, Mrs. Stesko moved to Clifton in 1932 and graduated from Clifton schools. She went on to Nurse�s Training at St. Joseph's Hospital, Paterson, graduating in 1946. She then received her Registered Nurse Certificate from the State of New Jersey and worked for over forty years at St. Joseph's Hospital, working in the Pediatrics Department, Delivery Room and Maternity Department for twenty-three years and then in the Employee Health Department for the remaining time until her retirement in March 2008. During her time at the hospital, she took a Post Graduate course at Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital in Jersey City and attended Seton Hall University in the evenings. She was a member of the Nurse's Alumnae of St. Joseph Hospital. Upon retirement, she was a member and played on the Senior Bowling Team of AARP 1995 at St. Brendan's Church Hall in Clifton and was a member of Clifton Moose Lodge #657 Women's Chapter #941 where she served as Chaplain. She was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies. Mrs. Stesko was the beloved wife of the late John Stesko. She was the devoted mother of her son, Roy and two daughters: Joan Capaccio and her husband, Joseph and Margaret (Peggy) Parent and her husband, Daniel; loving grandmother of four grandchildren: Janelle Hellwig and her husband, Robert, Joseph Capaccio and his wife, Laine, Douglas Parent and Veronica Parent; loving great-grandmother of Christopher Hellwig and Alexis and Olivia Capaccio. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday at 9:30 am at St. Paul RC Church, cor. Union Avenue and Second Street, Clifton. Interment of ashes to follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to either St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center Foundation, 703 Main Street, Paterson, NJ 07503 or the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691 would be appreciated.
