Arthur S. Faial

Arthur S. "Artie" Faial passed away peacefully at Seton Medical Center in Daly City on January 1, 2019. He was born July 12, 1950 in Calheta, Portugal, to Jose and Maria Faial. His family came to Half Moon Bay in the 1960s. He worked most of his life in agricultural management. He was active in the Portugese Community Center, and was an avid fan of the Raiders and the Portugese National Soccer Team. Arthur is survived by his brothers Tony and Jose Faial and a sister,Maria Madelena Brasil; he is also survived by nieces and nephews Jerry, Laurinda, and Fernanda. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Fernando Faial. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to visit after 5 pm and attend the vigil prayers at 7:00 pm Friday, January 4, 2018 at MILLER DUTRA COASTSIDE CHAPEL, 645 Kelly Ave., Half Moon Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Saturday at OUR LADY OF THE PILLAR CHURCH in Half Moon Bay, followed by interment at Our Lady of the Pillar Cemetery.
