Dear Connie, Zach, Timmy, Mary, and legions of loving Migeots and Kershners. Mindy and I extend our deepest sympathies for the unthinkable loss of your loving husband, father, uncle, brother, and brother-in-law. He was a dear friend for 50 years, from the time he braved eye-watering cold in his tight St. Joe's Prep varsity jacket while walking to St. Denis at age 10 until you, Connie, joined him at our 60th birthday party in our backyard this past summer. I remember him as a fierce and inspiring competitor, driving for layups in his St. Denis blue and white uniform, diving for catches during our backyard football games. He was also the kindest gentleman we've ever known. We treasured his discovery of hilarity in the everyday moments, his bursts of laughter that never ceased to delight. His deep interest in so many people's wellbeing and unfolding lives, which he seemed to chart with an uncanny attention to detail . . . I never beat him riding the waves. I could never catch up to him when he strode with calloused feet over scalding sand and sharp stones, a faded beach towel draped over his shoulders, like the shroud on some bronzed beach warrior . . . He taught me how to short order cook at Aunt Maggie's Pancake House in Avalon, how to cut dozens of onions on a meat slicer, while enduring the tears. How to crouch behind the counter and heave hunks of lunchmeat back and forth, suppressing the sound of uncontrolled laughter so Maggie's cashier wouldn't hear us. Mindy and I thank him for finding us the home we've lived in for 25 years now. . . We remember his brilliance as a debater, his opinions rooted in sound principles. He was a quiet rebel who never forced his views on you unless you engaged him. A man with a raging passion behind a beautiful smile. May your tears dry quickly and your wounded hearts heal. We hope this harsh and early separation will at least unite us more, in love and in his honor. God bless you. God bless you, Chic. We will never forget.

Connie, How I wish there were words that could lessen your pain and anguish. This shouldn't be. Not to someone so giving and loving as you. My heart is aching for you and Zack and all who loved Chic. I pray that you will find peace and serenity someday. Gone too soon. :(

Our deepest sympathy for you Connie, Zack and Migeot & Kershner families. We remember Chic from way back during the old "Whitebrier " days when he worked as a breakfast cook. Vinny tells the story often how Chic made his version of an egg over light sandwich...happy memories. God Bless.

Connie and family: I'm so sorry for your loss. Chickie and your entire family will be in my prayers. I will never forget his infectious and constant smile, which was the same four years ago when I saw him at my mother's funeral as it was when we were kids growing up in Havertown. He was truly a special person who brought joy to everyone he met, and it is my loss that I didn't keep in touch with him. Because of his joy that was his gift to the world, I know he's in heaven now. I only hope I make it there to see him again and renew our friendship forever.

Connie and family, my deepest and most sincere sympathies, the loss must be unbearable. Knew Chickie well, from going to Avalon as a kid, and Narberth playground, etc. I'm sure he was an amazing Father & Husband ,(I read his book and this was quite apparent). Dear Connie, Zach, the Migeot brother's and sisters, and Kerschners...my sympathies and sadness is with all of you at this time...Chic and I worked together at Bryn Mawr Hospital and I knew him quite well...he was soft spoken because his smile and presence were larger than words. He was a warm and very genuine person, I always enjoyed clocking in and working a shift together, along with Irene. May his smile be an everlasting inspiration for you, and all of us. Best, and I am sorry for your loss. Jimmy McNally

To Connie, Zack and the extended Migeot, Kershner and related families.

When I recall Chic, one word comes to mind-gentleman. Infrequent, thoroughly enjoyable conversations with him over the years were always a pleasure, filled by an interested man with a kind soul.

May the Good Lord shine a Light on you, warm, like the evening sun.
