Christy Grommesh

Christyn Marie Grommesh Christy Grommesh, 28, New Hope, MN passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 19th, 2015. Christy was born in Fargo, ND on January 11, 1987. She grew up on a farm outside of Casselton, ND. Christy graduated from Central Cass High School in 2005 and continued her education at North Dakota State University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 2010. She received her professional licensure as a Certified Public Accountant in 2013 and designation as a Certified Fraud Examiner in 2014. Christy worked for various accounting firms and businesses in the Minneapolis area as well as owning her own firm, CG Consulting, PLLC. She also wrote several articles for professional publications on forensic accounting. Christy enjoyed traveling, reading non-fiction, and spending time with her beloved dachshund, Elliot, family and friends. One of the things she enjoyed most was playing with her little nephews, Lucas and Titus. Christy will be remembered for her enthusiasm for and fun-loving competitiveness in family games. Everyone wanted her on their team because she loved to win. Christy was a bright, talented, beautiful, young woman who will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She blessed us all with so many wonderful memories of her vibrant life. Christy is survived by her parents John & Lori (Larson) Grommesh; her brother Michael, his wife Kelsey, and their son Titus; her sister, Julie, her boy friend Matt McCroskey, and their son, Lucas; her maternal grandparents, Dennis & Diane Larson of Sun Lakes, AZ; her paternal grandparents, Vern Grommesh and his wife, Vicki Grommesh of Fargo; great grandfather, Melvin Larson, Fargo; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Audrey Grommesh. Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, July 27, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Casselton with visitation one hour prior.
