Clarence and I go back about 60 years or so when I worked as a Junior Petroleum Engineer for Magnolia Petroleum Company in Vanderbilt, Texas. He was also a good friend of my brother Ron who, too, spent a few years in Vanderbilt as a young engineer. Clarence was a joy to be around as he had a lot of wit and experiences to relate to those who had the privilege to know and spend some time with him. My memory has faded a bit but I think Clarence was also a really good fisherman. May he rest in peace.
