Mrs. Daisy Bell Crawford was born on October 13, 1932 in Effingham, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Haskel Thomas, Sr., and Alice Johnson Thomas. On Sunday, February 21, 2016, she departed this life at Vibra Hospital Transfer Center Unit of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. "Lil Mama", as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was an employee of Sexton Dental Clinic for 40 years prior to her illness. Daisy was a lifelong member of Savannah Grove Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Harmony Saving Club. In addition to her parents and husband, Isaih Crawford, "Lil Mama" was preceded in death by her brothers, Haskel Thomas Jr. and Jessie Amos Thomas; and a sister, Clemmie Eaddy. Left to cherish her memories are: her loving children, Randolph Crawford, Jerome Crawford, Jonathan Crawford and Bonesa (Leroy) Crawford, all of Florence, SC; Nathaniel (Janie Mae) Crawford, Kenneth Crawford of Effingham, SC; and Alice L. Davis of Quinby, SC; one grandchild reared in the home, Dewayne (Deanna) Crawford of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one brother, Solomon Thomas of Manhattan, NY; two sisters, Hester Watson of Richmond, VA and Gloria D. Rogers of Brooklyn, NY; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed!
