Debra A. (Yee) "Deb-e" Martinage, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, April 22, 2016, at age 58. Debra Yee was born in Beverly on June 5, 1957, and raised in Burlington where she graduated from Burlington High School. She attended Middlesex Community College, and worked in IT consulting for Riverbed Corp. for several years. Friendly and easy going, Deb served on the reunion committee for the Class of 1975 at Burlington High and enjoyed catching up with old classmates. A free spirit, Deb was happiest on the back of a Harley with Steve and wearing one of her favorite Harley-Davidson t-shirts. She loved riding and took a memorable trip down to Tennessee to see his Steve's brother. Deb-e also loved going to concerts, or listening to Bon Jovi with the volume turned way up. While always ready for excitement, Deb-e was also a caring, generous, and thoughtful person. She was always willing to help and was the first to offer you the shirt off her back. With her IT background, she was the go-to person for computer problems in the family. Her family was especially important, and she cherished trips to see her parents in Florida, brother in Virginia, or Steve's parents in South Carolina. Deb-e was so happy to have found Steve and they were excited to start a new life together in South Carolina. In her free time, she loved reading, photography, cooking and was known for her ability to replicate her grandmother's turkey stuffing. Deb loved her family, Steve, and spending time at home with her cat, Mozart. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Debbie was the beloved fiancé of Steve McLaughlin. Cherished daughter of Harry and Pauline (Him) Yee of Ft. Myers, FL. Devoted sister of Cindy Hom and Doug Maclennan of Melrose and Ft. Myers, and David Yee and his wife Nicole of Norfolk, VA. Loving aunt of Daniel, Marissa, Lauren and Brandon. She is also survived by Steve's parents, Niecy and Al McLaughlin of SC. Family and friends will gather in honor of Deb-e's life for her Memorial Service at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Friday, April 29 at 9:30am. Gifts in memory of Deb-e may be made to People Helping People Inc., PO Box 343, Burlington, MA 01803 or visit www.peoplehelpingpeopleinc.org

I am in shock. Known Deb for about 25 years. She has been the kind of friend a friend should be, always. Clear back to her giving advice on me raising my kid. Wish I'd have got to see her more recently. Don't know what else to say, too sad to think right now. RIP Deb. You will be very missed.

Deb and I had a very special relationship always keeping our communication going and always in a very light tone. She showed me how happy go lucky she was and was always there for me understanding what life brought me. I am torn between loosing that bright light she was and one of my best friends, I will sorely miss her but one thing she lived such a full life and experienced probably more that she would of said. I will never forget her as long as I live and Deb you know how much I loved you as my friend and cherished everything we shared. You are an Angel now and will always be one. Steve I want to wish you and Deb
s family my condolences...

To my best friend, always. The world seems a little darker and smaller today. Your amazing people skills and friendly outgoing personality. Funny how I'd be thinking something and you'd say it. Grateful I had you for a friend for so long. Every time I see an elephant knick-knack or piece of jewelry I think of you. I remember the times when we were young hanging out at your house w/ your baby brother, grandma, sister and Mom and Dad. Your incredible vault of recipes and photographs. Your ability to make everyone feel at home in your home all the time. Every memory I have will be cherished forever. Love you... Mary

I am deeply saddened to hear of Debbie's passing. We had many good times back in the day. My fondest times was visiting Debbie when her grandmother was home. We didn't speak the same language Debbie would translate. All three of us had the best times listening to Grandmas stories. She kept in touch throughout my time in the military her letters were always welcome. My sincerest condolences to Steve, Pauline, Harry and Cindy. Debbie you will be deeply missed. I knew Deb as a quiet girl in Expository Writing class. We hardly ever spoke. Fast forward to today and Deb was a cornerstone of communication on Facebook. She was instrumental to sharing memories with old friends from BHS Class of '75. Living on the west coast Deb was a reliable source for many of us on social media and her work on all the photos from the 40th reunion has brought hours of joy to those old classmates that used to be 18 with their whole lives out there waiting for them. She was a generous and dynamic personality and a good friend from afar. I feel heartbroken for Steve, the family, and all of her close friends.

Somewhere, under a bluer sky, in a higher realm than where eagles fly, in a land of beauty beyond our knowing, with trees and flowers and waters flowing, with mountains of unearthly grace, our loving Lord has made a placeAnd one day, through an opening door, we find that glorious Evermore. May God Comfort You in your time of sorrow.
