Eleanor C. Pytynia, 98, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away 10:20 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2012, in Hamilton Communities. Eleanor was born on March 3, 1914 in Michigan City, IN to Adam and Anna (Wahalski) Barnoski. She had lived in New Carlisle since 1994, coming from Michigan City. On November 24, 1934 in St. Stanislaus Church, Michigan City, IN, she married John J. Pytynia, who preceded her in death on September 25, 1972. Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Caroline Wroblewski, Bernice Freese, and Jean Barnoski. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Gerald) Werdin of Niles, MI and Susan (David) Gresham of Rolling Prairie, IN; four grandchildren, Dorothy (Tom) Kim of Wheeling, IL, Elizabeth (David) Urbaniak of Lutz, FL, Eric (Luda) Werdin of Lewisville, NC, and Melissa Gresham of LaPorte, IN; and six great-grandchildren, Matthew Douglas Urbaniak, Adam Michael Urbaniak, Raymond Anthony Urbaniak, Alayna Rose Urbaniak, Rosalie Eleanor Urbaniak, and Samuel David Urbaniak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon, E.S.T., Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Terre Coupee, IN. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, IN. Friends may call from 10 a.m. E.S.T. until Noon on Wednesday in the church.
