Emily DeNoma Obituary

Published by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home on Sep. 2, 2019.
On September 2, 2019 our darling daughter left this earth for her heavenly home to be in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Emily Jane DeNoma was born on January 16, 1992 in Tae Jun City, South Korea. She came to us on June 4, 1992 and was officially adopted on December 4, 1992, the happiest day of our lives. Emily graduated in the top of her class in high school. She attended Harrisburg Area Community College, Gettysburg Campus and graduated with honors in receiving two Associate degrees in Social Sciences and General Science. She attended Wilson College and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology. She is survived by her mother Carmella and father John. Emily was part of two large families on her mother and father's side. She is survived by 13 aunts and uncles, 43 cousins, 78 second cousins and 43 third cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Bernard and Marianne DeNoma and maternal grandparents Gasper and Rose Mastrocola and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Emily grew up on a mountaintop farm which gave her a true love for nature and animals. Her greatest treasures were her dogs Bennie, Biskit, Kirby and Kiki. Her friends were the most important thing in her life. She gave her heart and soul to help any and all of them. She was so beautiful, gracious, kind, very funny and loved her family and friends. Her artistic creativity had no bounds. Emily was an avid and excellent photographer. She painted, drew, created painted pottery and most of all loved calligraphy. She was sweet and loving and could be sassy when appropriate which everyone loved about her. Although she is gone her precious life will never be forgotten. Emily loved flowers and took hundreds of pictures of them, she would be so pleased if instead of sending beautiful flowers, a donation could be made to Providence Animal Center, 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media, PA 19063. This is a no-kill shelter that she volunteered at. Please donate in her memory. Her parents will be offering a Celebration of Life in Emily's memory. Emily I first got to know you through HACC where we spent most of our time in the student government. You always were positive, happy, and energetic about everything. I will never forget our fun memories in SGA. Gone but not forgotten, you will be missed! ~Jonathan Weaver

Love shows no bounds when it comes to friendship. You were there as an ear to listen and you were there as somebody who knew could help others especially when it came to SGA and college. It will never be the same without you around but we will allways hold and cherish the memories that we made together. I miss ya friend! Thinking of you and your famy in this heartfelt time.
