What a blessing to have known Miss Evelyn. Such a nice lady with a huge giving heart. I visited her and her kitties several times in Meraux before Katrina. She was always the sweetest secretary in the office when my boys went to Andrew Jackson High School. Heaven gained an angel.

We had the pleasure of working with Evelyn at the AAS shelter in Meraux for several years prior to Hurricane Katrina. Her dedication, whether it be to family, church family or the animals in her care knew no bounds. We admired her energy and commitment. She never did anything halfway. God speed Evelyn. Sending our sympathy and prayers to the family.
