Franklin Thomas Wise, Jr., 84, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Patricia Molloy Wise passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018. His memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 1:00 pm. Inurnment will be private at St. Lawrence Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 12:00 pm until time of the service. Frank was born December 10, 1933 in Long Branch, New Jersey, son of the late Franklin T. Wise, Sr. & Ethel Fix Wise. He graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School in 1951 and is a proud alumnus of the Citadel class of 1955. Upon graduating from the Citadel, he served in the United States Army. Frank was president of international marketing for Cotton, Inc. and won many awards while serving as president of the Textile Sales Association. Upon his retirement in 1986, he & Patty moved to the Isle of Palms, SC. He was a member of the Citadel Alumni Association, the Brigadier Club, and the Citadel Men's Club. He loved the beach, playing tennis and golf. He was an active member of Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Molloy Wise, his daughter Debbie Guerry of Mt. Pleasant, SC, son-in-law Rett and their daughter Caroline, his son Michael P. Wise of Charleston, SC, daughter-in-law Kay and their two daughters Mary Katherine & Kathleen, and his son Matthew R. Wise of Greenville, SC, daughter-in-law Gwen and their children Parker, Jackson & Julianne. He is also survived by his sister Nancy Hickey of Tinton Falls, NJ, her husband Jerry, their daughter Jennifer McHale (David), and their children Will & Tara. Frank also had many other loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Franklin T. Wise, III (Frankie), and sister Barbara W. Moffett. In lieu of flowers please send a donation in Frank's honor to, Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, 1204 Middle Street, Sullivan's Island, SC 29483 or The Citadel Foundation, 171 Moultrie Street, Charleston, SC 29409.
