Helen Derosky Obituary

Helen M. Derosky, 89, of Lehigh Acres, FL., formerly Weirton, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at her home. She was born September 4, 1926 in Weirton, WV., to the late Anthony and Parena (Fabianich) Mestrovic. She was also preceded in death by her brother Frank Mestrovic. Helen graduated from Saint Paul Catholic School and Weir High School. Upon graduation she worked at the Pentagon building until the war was over. She married the late Theodore Derosky and they had two sons together James and Frank. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church where she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society, Christian Mother's Society, PTA and the Council of Catholic Women. She was active on the local, state and national level of these organizations. She is survived by her two sons James G. Derosky of Wellsville, OH and Frank A. Derosky of Lehigh Acres, FL.; sisters Marguerite Bouvette of Iowa and Annette (Aldo) Riccadonna of Weirton; nephew Danny Riccadonna and nieces Kathy Riccadonna Weller and Linda Riccadonna Tritz. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Fr. Thomas Magery will officiate Entombment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery Mausoleum
