Mrs. Helen Derebail, 76, of Leesburg, GA died November 30, 2103 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday 10 AM at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Rev. Finbarr Stanton officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill cemetery. A native of Mangalore, India, Mrs. Derebail lived most of her life in the United States and resided in the Albany and Leesburg, GA area. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, and will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Derebail was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Agnes D'Souza, brother, Valerine D'Souza and a sister, Jacintha Coelho. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Gopala Krishna Derebail of Leesburg, son, Dr. Vimal K. Derebail and his wife Pavita of Chapel Hill, NC, three grandchildren, Mia Kaur Derebail, Devon Helene Derebail and Sahana Rattan Derebail all of Chapel Hill, NC, sisters, Ida, Nancy and Leticia D'Souza all of India. The prayer service will be Monday at 6:00 PM with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM at Kimbrell-Stern. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation 2951 Flowers Rd S Ste 211, Atlanta, GA 30341-5533.
