Herbert Roehn was my father-in-law (my first marriage to Dorothee, his daughter). He was a pastor in New York City/German church and I was helping him in his ministry. He always was ready to help people, support them, and assist them in their needs. I lost contact with him when I moved to Utah in 2004. He was residing in Tustin, California with his wife Eva and must have moved to Portland, OR. May God bless him.

I was touched with sadness to learn of Pastor Roehn's passing. Time and distance have a way of separating people but certain fond memories can not be taken away. Always appreciated his friendship and support that he gave to me as a member of his congregation in the 'good ole days.' He was also the pastor that officiated at my wedding. Perhaps the most profound memory I have of Pastor Roehn is that he personally continued to support me even though I did not go into the military as a conscientious objector during the Vietnam war. I look forward to reuniting with him when Jesus returns!
