John Swanhorst Obituary

John was born on August 17, 1934 and passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019. He attended school in Cresbard and graduated from Cresbard High School with the class of 1953. He entered the US Army on November 4, 1954 where he did his basic training at Fort Bliss and then spent nineteen months in Germany. Funeral services for John H. Swanhorst, 85, Aberdeen will be 10:30 am, Saturday, August 31, 2019 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastors Samuel Bobby and Josiah Fitch officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors by Cresbard American Legion Post 213. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00 pm, Friday, with family present from 5:00-7:00, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 South Main Street. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the charity of your choice.
