Hi Mama,
Today marks six years since you left us. At the time, I had no way to know that you´d be followed 15 months later by Daddy, then Alfie. And two years later by Michael, and then Popper. It´s surreal how that day seems so long ago...and yet, it doesn´t. Memories may fade with time, but I´ll miss and love you no less.

How can it be that today marks 5 years since you left us, Mama? The passage of time is surreal, the details of that day so clearly etched in my heart as if it was only last week.
How I stopped to see you over my work break with your favorite Colectivo cookie, a framed picture of Mikki and a Lil Bub plushie to keep at your bedside. How you were smiley and feisty with high hopes of moving from IC to regular care the following day, looking forward to going home to Mikki and tend to your gardens. How the doc came in as I was about to leave, you introduced us, squeezed my hand as I said goodbye, told you I loved you and that Michael and I would see you tomorrow.
An hour later...your heart stopped.
So much has transpired since that day. Mikki passed shortly after, Daddy followed you 15 months later, and Alfie 6 months after that. And last year, Michael. I´m forever grateful you had one last visitor that sunny afternoon and that visitor was me. It´s lonely on this side of the rainbow without you, Mama. But I know you and Daddy continue to watch over me. I´ll love and miss you always xx
