Mr. Lippo was a kind, humorous and caring man. He used his gift as an educator to make learning fun and challenging. Mr. Lippo genuinely loved what he did and his life impacted so many young lives in a positive way. I pray that the family finds comfort and strength from the Lord, and that memories of him will bring you joy and laughter during the difficult days.

When I was a first grader/kindergartener, Mr. Lippo taught me to never let my disability define me. He pushed me to be better and to do better. Because of him, in adulthood, most people would not know that I have a hidden disability because of the lessons that both he and my parents taught me at an early age. It may be one of the reasons I dedicate my career to the advancement of health and education. Proverbs says that "the memory of a good man is a blessing" and better men rarely come along than him. Thank you, Mr. Lippo for challenging me to be the best person I can be. Rest in Peace and in the knowledge that you made a difference to me and my family. -Kevin "Commodore" Barry

Hi Pat
Sorry for your loss but know it's everyone's loss. He was an awesome guy. Best teacher ever! We were so afraid to send Angela to Brown School but he made it the best decision we ever made. I don't know if you ever heard this story but Angela was late for school one day and I was walking her through the school yard. She was carrying her violin case and I heard a window go up on the second floor and it was Lou yelling to Angela, hey Madaline I told you not to bring that machine gun to school. I thought I would die laughing.
That's how I'll always remember him and I hope this helps relieve your pain in the future.

I went to West & LaSalle with Louie. He always had smile and encouragement. In Freshmen year at West,
Mr Duffy ,our History teacher, had Louie stand up and Lou had that look :What did I do wrong?
Mr Duffy said: Mahatma Ghandi was your size and he changed the world, you can too.
Mr Duffy was right, Lou tried to make this a better world.
God speed

So sorry to hear of Lou's passing. He was one of my mentors as I pursued my principal certification. He was a wonderful friend, and someone I could always go to for advice. RIP
