Marie was a guiding light to me when I was a little girl. When we were growing up on Field Street in Detroit our family had Sunday and all holiday celebrations together. Marie would help us stay in line and create fun for the kids. Since she was 20 years older than me she was an aunt role model more than a cousin. Marie was well respected, great smile and laugh, and always a great listener.
I received an email from my cousin Chuck and was sad to hear the news, and I am truly sorry I am out of town and cannot come to the family dinner and funeral. I send my love to all and hope for peace, love, and found memories that will live within everyone's heart!

What can I say....Marie has always been so very special to me! Always sweet and such a joy to be around. Such great talks we would have. She would always laugh at my silliness! So happy to become friends with Chuck and Debbie too! A wonderful family. Marie will be missed so very much! RIP and fly happy and healthy with the angels my little friend! I love you always!
