Mary Ann Tonstad

Mary Ann Tonstad, age 84 passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on May 20, 1930 in Sioux City, Iowa and was the daughter of Wilbur and Rosemary (Sparks) Davis. She married Lawrence Tonstad on February 29, 1954. Mary was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lakeview Moravian Church, and the TOPS organization. Mary volunteered at the Sun Prairie Food Pantry and loved playing cards at the Sun Prairie Senior Care Center. She is survived by her husband; 4 children Mike (Suzi), Edgerton, Rick (Judy), Stoughton, Barb Kahl, Belleville, and Kevin (April), Edgerton; 2 brothers Clay (Carol) Davis, Sun Prairie, Larry (Ellen McDermott) Davis, Madison; sister-in-laws Donna Davis, Sun Prairie, and Ruth Davis, Madison; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, David, Tom and Duane; and sister-in-law Sandy Davis. A Funeral Service will be held on Mon., Dec. 8, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Lakeview Moravian Church, 3565 Tulane Ave., Madison. Pastor Staci Marrese-Wheeler will preside. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
