Mary (Colwell-Flanagan) Ricucci was born in Cambridge, MA in 1924 and raised in Wakefield, MA. Mary graduated from St. Joseph's School, Wakefield High School and Salem Teachers College (Salem State). Mary travelled extensively with her military first husband Ray Flanagan, being stationed as far away as Eritrea. After Ray's untimely death in 1960, Mary returned to Massachusetts. She met and married Dominic Ricucci in 1972. Mary and Dom also travelled extensively, living in North Reading and Boxford, MA, Ogunquit, ME and Florida. She and Dom loved golfing and spending time with their cherished family and friends. Mary worked for many years as a Program Analyst at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA - retiring in 1984. Mary was a devout Catholic and an active member of her local parish – wherever she was living. She particularly enjoyed the Sunday Mass at St. Paul National Catholic Church in Belleview, FL. Mary returned to Massachusetts in 2019 and was most recently living in Burlington. She is survived by her stepdaughter Audrey Christina Ricucci, grandson Christopher Richardson, brother Paul, brother-in-law Lyle Rousseau, sisters-in-law Marion and Becky and many treasured nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, K. Raymond Flannagan and her second husband Dominic Ricucci, her parents, M. Edward and Emma (Cormier) and her siblings: William, Irene (Rousseau), Edward and Joseph. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 173 Albion Street, Wakefield, on Thursday December 2, 2021, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at a later date.

Mary was a dear friend, coworker and mentor of mine at Hanson field. My first job, after graduating from a Maine college, was in the finance department where I first met Mary. She took me under her wing and introduced me to many social opportunities in the Boston area. My first play- Mame with Pearl Bailey. I remembered when she met Dominic and got married. I visited many of her homes in Maine, Massachusetts and Florida. She introduced to me to my dentist in Melrose and was with him until I moved to Florida. We kept in contact for many years.
Mary was a very devoted religious person and always optimistic about life. So sorry to learn about her passing.
Coincidentally, I lived in Wakefield for over 20 years before moving to Florida. Mary's suggestion!

Our dear Mary is reunited with my dad, family and friends. Mary a kind, caring and loving lady.
Always thinking and praying for all of us.
Checking in to make sure we were all doing well.
Many memories to keep close to my heart.
I hope you're golfing and playing cards with the gang, as my father would say.
